Last Update 4/8/04
Hello again to all the friends
of Salsa in the Mix!
This is (I’m proud to
say) our second Newsletter. And, I hope that these will become more
frequent as time goes by. If you read our first Newsletter(click
here to read it)you already
know all the things that we did during the holidays, and how we
spent our New Year of 2004.
Well, we have been pretty
busy since then! Of course, first and foremost, our time has been
taken up by choreographing and practicing our upcoming 2004 Congress
routine. This one is my favorite routine so far (of course) and
the theme is Superheroes! We will be using capes as our props. Just
kidding (am I?). You’ll all just have to wait and see.
What We’re Up To!
Besides working on the 2004
Congress routine, we have been busy doing shows. We’ve performed
again at several local dance venues, including Monte Cristo and
the Key Club for the Choreographers Ball. We were also booked by
the wonderful people at the Marina Yacht Club for their employees’
yearly party, plus several private parties and weddings.
We will be performing at several upcoming event throughout the summer.

Classes
A lot of people have been
asking me and other members of SIM when and where we are teaching...
Well, although I’ve cut down on my teaching schedule a bit
–from 6 days a week to 2 days a week- we still have a list
of classes all over Los Angeles and Santa Monica for you to attend!
One class in particular is focused on performance level salsa and
will be closing to new students as of this Thursday. Read on for
more about our classes here.
Clubs
Because so many people ask
me where I go out dancing, I would like to include some club recommendations/reviews
here. Although I have my opinions about which clubs I enjoy, I would
like to invite you all to post your favorite clubs on our board
at http://www.salsainthemix.com/wforum

Extra Goodies!
First, German of Salserosweb.com
got his hands on quite a few pieces of nice clothing and lingerie
from Victoria’s Secret and the Limited. If anyone is interested,
check it out here: http://salserosweb.com/sexy/
or call German at: 310-869-2109. All the clothes are brand-spankin’
new, and all ½ price!
Second, I have a interactive
survey for all of you out there. The question is this:
What kind of salsa events would you like to see more of? Of course
there are all kinds of clubs, Congresses, festivals, and fund-raisers.
But, these are all created by promoters. What would be YOUR ideal
salsa event? Feel free to post your thoughts with as much detail
as you want: www.salsainthemix.com/wforum
Last but not least, we have Casey’s Corner
Casey only loves one thing
more than dancing (other than his girlfriend, of course): sharing
his thoughts. This time Casey has written about how creative and
unique anyone can really be while dancing salsa. What do you think?
Let him know on our board: www.salsainthemix.com/wforum.
