Kirsten
has been dancing in the salsa club scene in Los Angeles, her
birthplace, since the early 90's. However, her dance background
is extremely strong and includes dancing ballet from age 3 and
jazz from age 9. Her most important training, though, was being
a competetive ice skater for 7 years, on the Olympic track.
She also danced as a hip-hop and retro go-go dancer at several
local clubs in Santa Monica and Hollywood before focusing on
and immersing herself in salsa dancing. Finally, after dancing
in Laura Canellias' group, Salsa Confunksion, for over a year,
Kirsten started her own group, Salsa
in the Mix.
